How to do Mitochondrial DNA Analysis
The process of taking DNA samples from participants is completely painless and takes about 4-6 minutes. Often, the DNA sample used for this genetic test is a buccal swab taken with a cotton swab (cheek epithelial cell collection), also known as a saliva test (standard DNA sample).
